The Acropolis Villas, situated on the edge of the traditional village of Eleftherna, have the most fantastic position overlooking verdant foothills and the spectacular coastal plain of Rethymnon. They have been designed with considered respect to this beautiful environment using light natural local stone, ceramic tiled roofs, interior wooden beams and character furnishings that are very ‘in keeping’ with this very traditional region. They really are lovely and come highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic ambience, a tranquil location and magnificent views!

The villas neighbour each other sitting completely detached from the other within private gated gardens. Each villa has an exclusive pool. Villa Magda has two bedrooms and Villa Stavros three bedrooms. Villa Magda is not available to rent in 2011.

Villa Stavros is built on two levels and is extremely spacious, sleeping up to 8 people comfortably as, in addition to the three bedrooms (2 doubles and a twin), there is an open plan mezzanine platform in one of the bedrooms furnished with an additional double bed. There are two bathrooms and a large open-plan living/kitchen/dining area fully equipped with all mod-cons. The attractive grounds of the villa offer plenty of inviting outdoor living space with a choice of secluded, peaceful terraces that enjoy the wonderful views.

Traditional villages abound in the area and, right on your doorstep, is the fascinating ancient site of Eleftherna. The atmospheric 14th century monastery of Arkadi is a short drive away, the wonderful ‘old town’ and long sandy beach of Rethymnon’s harbour town can be reached in 20 minutes by car and the delightful coastal village of Panormo, where you can find pretty beaches for relaxing, is just 15 mins drive away.
