These excellent value three bedroom villas are situated in the village of Roussospiti that sits picturesquely at the top of a hill overlooking the Venetian harbour town of Rethymnon that’s positioned next to the sea just 6kms away.
Originally a small complex of just three villas their popularity has caused George, the owner, to build a further two villas on the side of a small hill just below the original three. The three villas we are offering include these two brand new villas, which have been finished to a high standard with the most wonderful views.
Each villa is built on two levels and includes three bathrooms, three bedrooms (all twins), a spacious, open plan living room/kitchen/diner and balconies and patios on both levels from where the views are panoramic across the village and surrounding countryside to the sea. They also all include well-equipped kitchens, (with dishwasher), washing machines, TV and DVD players. The two brand new villas have been thoughtfull designed with the bedrooms positioned on the ground level and the living/dining/kitchen area on the upper levels to ensure you always benefit from the wonderful views. The third villa is designed with the bedrooms on the upper level and the living/kitchen/dining are on the ground level but, this similarly enjoys the panoramic sea views.
The villas are located on the end of the village of Roussospiti, which is a historic and traditional village that was occupied during the Venetian era. Evidence of this long history can be seen amongst some of its attractive buildings and its 17th century fountain. Today it is a modern village due to its position so close to the thriving harbour town of Rethymnon but it remains a typical and atmospheric Cretan village, unspoilt by mass tourism. It has a handful of tavernas, which can be reached on foot from the villas, as well as a couple of small supermarkets. Otherwise you can find all facilities you might need in Rethymnon, which also has a long and wide sandy beach that starts next to the town and continues eastwards for approximately 12 kms.
Rethymnon overflows with history, culture and atmosphere, which you will soon discover as you wander amongst its narrow streets that are filled with historic architecture, quaint tavernas and numerous little shops.
