Kampos Marathokampos or Votsalakia, as it is also known, lies in the south west of the island, just one hour’s drive from the islands capital, Samos Town, and just 31 kilometres from the islands one airport. The village stretches alongside the beach and is framed by the towering Mount Kerkis, over fourteen hundred metres high. The Kyma apartments are situated on the outskirts of the village, which ensures them a quiet location but also easy access, on foot, to the resorts practical facilities, its wide choice of tavernas and long sandy beach! These newly built apartments comprise of five detached buildings, each of which houses four spacious studio apartments. Each apartment has a light and airy open plan design with the main sleeping area being separated from the living/kitchen area by a low wall. The kitchenette is well-equipped for preparing leisurely breakfasts, lunch or dinner, which can be enjoyed on the sunny private balcony that over looks the gardens and enjoys sea views. The apartments are ideal, and particularly spacious, for two people but some are equipped to sleep up to three people.

The swimming pool is surrounded by a tiled patio and furnished with sun loungers. The children’s pool neighbors the main pool and the pool bar, where you can enjoy drinks, snacks, coffees and cocktails, anytime of day.

The nearby beach, rocky in parts and fine white sand in others, is situated a short walk downhill from the apartments, and Votsalakias’ long beach, which offers a mix of sand and shingle can be reached in less than 10 minutes on foot.

The south-east region of Samos is populated with pockets of holiday life scattered between the islands natural landscape of olive groves, high mountains and lush forests. The tiny fishing village of Ormos, which holds a distinctive feel of the ‘old Greece’ is situated just a few kilometres from Marathokampos and the tiny picturesque Limnionas Bay is only 6 kilometers to the west. Situated amongst the Kerkis mountain range are the pretty mountain villages of Kalithea and Drakkei, which can be reached within a half-hour drive. The scenery on this part of the island is reminiscent of an Alpine vista, coupled with dramatic views across the craggy picturesque coastline and out to the island of Ikaria.

The area in spring and autumn is particularly attractive for those who enjoy exploring on foot and, in the high summer months, the region offers a tranquil coastline, pretty seaside villages and the wonderful Mediterranean climate.
